HOW TO HAVE A PERFECT SHAVE

1. Prepare

• Shave while showering or bathing.
• Always use hot water while shaving. Hot water softens the hair, opens pores and relaxes the skin.
• Before shaving, apply The Art of Shaving Pre-Shave Oil to protect the skin and soften the hair, especially in delicate areas such as the bikini, under arms, at the ankles and behind the knees or legs.

2. Lather Up!
• Allow a few moments for the hot water to soften the hair, then lather up with shaving brush or fingers.
• Use coconut oil based Shaving Cream for a rich, luxurious lather that provides a close, comfortable shave.
• For best results, use contoured Shaving Brush made of badger hair. It helps generate a warm, protective lather, softens and lifts the hair and exfoliates dead skin cells.

3. Shave
• Always use a sharp, clean blade and a properly balanced handle. Avoid applying too much pressure on your razor, this is often the cause of razor burn and skin irritations. Glide the razor gently over your skin and rinse your blade after every few strokes. Pull the skin straight and taut with one hand, while you shave with the other.

FOR LEGS: • Shave against the direction the hair grows. Place the razor at the base of your ankle and pull gently up the entire length of the leg, in one smooth stroke. To avoid nicks & cuts that often occur behind the ankle, flex your heel to stretch the skin while you shave.

FOR BIKINI AREA & UNDER ARMS: • The skin in these areas is softer and more pliable, and the hair is coarser, making it prone to razor burn and ingrown hairs. Take precaution by first shaving gently with the direction of hair growth, then re-lather and shave lightly against the direction of the growth.

4. Moisturize
• The Art of Shaving After-Shave Body Milk soothes and protects the skin, and replenishes lost moisture after shaving or at any time. Apply all over the body, legs and delicate areas. Leaves your skin feeling soft and moisturized throughout day with a delicate aroma.

• INGROWN HAIRS can be prevented by using The Perfect Shave products and techniques. If they do occur, moisturize the affected area after shaving and again at bedtime with The Art of Shaving Ingrown Hair Night Cream
